AL INVEST Břidličná, a.s. has a new CEO!
On the basis of a decision made by shareholders, Pavel Kotajný has been appointed to this position, as of 1.2.2011 for the whole company AL INVEST Břidličná, a.s.. He replaces Robert Macek in the function of CEO.
The professional career of Pavel Kotajný began in the Czech-Moravian mines company in Kladno, where he held the position of business director. He held the same position in the following companies: OKD, a. s., Ostrava and KARBON INVEST, a.s, Kladno, where he simultaneously held the position of strategic director. He then moved on to OKD, BASTRO, a. s., where he was appointed as the chairman of the board of directors then Bucyrus Czech Republic, a.s., where he filled the roles of vice chairman of the board of directors and director of operations.
Pavel Kotajný studied at the technical University of Ostrava: at the economic faculty and as a postgraduate at Hornicko at the faculty of geology. It was in Ostrava where he acquired the title of candidate of economic sciences. He received an MBA at the Dominican University of Illinois in Chicago in 2008. One of his latest titles comes from Nottingham Trent University in the form of LLM. He speaks 3 languages fluently (English, German, Polish).
He devotes his free time to working with people, music and education.
