Multi-layer Packaging Based on Plastics
The packaging consists of two-, three- or multi-layer packaging laminates produced by connecting various input materials such as aluminium foil, polyethylene terephtalate (PET), polypropylene (BOPP) or polyethylene (PE) foil or paper. The main advantages include: barrier against gases and vapour, aroma tightness, mechanical stability, heat resistance, and barrier against sunlight and ultraviolet (UV) radiation. It is possible to make eight-colour prints by means of flexographic printing or six-colour prints by means of gravure printing on laminates. Prints can be made also on the inner side of the plastic foil. The prints are thus protected against mechanical damaging by the transparent foil from above and by the lamination from under. The production of laminates complies with all requirements of environmental and hygienic regulations.

Application
Flexible packaging can be used to wrap mayonnaise, coffee, tartar sauce, ketchup, dry foodstuffs, and beverages.
