Profal
Profal is a strip made of aluminium alloy with a surface coated with polyvinylidenfluoride (PVdF) and covered with removable protecting foil, used for seaming. The right side is coated with a basic protecting varnish; the total thickness of the layer is 25 micrometers. The basic varnish shows a high stability of colour and resistance to UV radiation. The reverse side is coated with a 3-micrometer layer of protecting varnish. Thanks to its formability the alloys show excellent bending ability important for seaming.
Applications
Properties such as low specific weight, corrosion resistance, excellent plasticity, aesthetic appearance and recyclability make Profal an excellent material which can be used for roof coverings and on front walls. Apart from new buildings it can be also used in historical and industrial buildings on both flat and rugged surfaces.
Removable protecting foil is perforated to enable easy removal of the outer strips before seaming. The middle part of the protecting foil is removed when construction work has finished.
