AL INVEST Břidličná, a.s. (AIB), a member of the MTX Group of the industrialist Petr Otava, will invest CZK 2 billion in the next 4 years in the development of production.
Five years after the acquisition of the 100% share in AIB, the company development plan is ready and the MTX Group has decided to implement it by 2021.
AIB is a traditional manufacturer of rolled products - aluminium sheets and films and flexible packaging materials; with the aluminium products being produced in the Břidličná plant and the flexible packaging produced under the TAPA brand in the Tábor plant. In 2017, the company reached sales of CZK 4.6 billion and EBITDA of CZK 501 million and so far all factors show that 2018 should be just as successful as 2017.
"After some initial hesitation, the company development strategy plan has been presented to us and it looks very promising. AIB has been a strategic company within the Group and we want to see this continuing in the future," explained David Bečvář, COO and vice-chairman of the MTX Group Board of Directors, who is responsible for the group's long-term development.
Jiří Vítů, company CEO, added: "My aim is to continue building a modern, dynamic company which will provide attractive and stable opportunities for its employees and a return on invested capital for shareholders. To be able to ensure this in the long term, we are aiming to reach EBITDA of at least CZK 700 million after the implementation of all investments and operational measures."
Currently, the AIB core products are flexible films for the consumer industry, and aluminium sheets and films for the automotive industry and civil engineering. In the future we want to complement these with aluminium plates and pins for the automotive and aerospace industries in the Břidličná plant and a complete range of flexible packaging for consumer industry in the Tábor plant.
